Sensory Relations

Research Assistant at Aarhus University, Institute of Education and Pedagogy (DPU).

Manager of an ethnographic film project in relation to a PhD project by Kamilla Nørtoft.

The film project is called Sensory Relations and has a sensory perspective on the themes of the PhD project, namely elderly people, social relations, and health.

We experiment using media as a methodological tool to ’open the field’ and get around categories of language and presumptions (ours and theirs) and tap into sensory knowledge recognised in film and spontaneously responded to when watching.

The film material is also used for analysis and representation of the research.
